Tical by Method Man

Bio: Method Man is a rapper and actor from Staten Island, New York City. He is a member of the hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan and one half of the hip hop duo Method Man & Redman. He recently launched a cannabis business that aims to bring more black ownership to the industry. In fact, Meth plans to use TICAL in his activism not only for marijuana legalization but also to combat racism in law enforcement. “Personally, it is essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially-biased policing procedures,” he said in regards to his initiative behind his new cannabis brand.

Method Man coined the term Tical in 1994 with his debut studio album, Tical, which was the release solo album released after Wu-Tang Clan’s debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Since, Tical has become a part of hip hop's vernacular and now a cannabis brand that aims to spark conversations about racial injustice across the globe. The first three strains of the brand are named “Cake,” “Gelato” and “Crusher.”
